RELIEF SOCIETY MEETING!

Hey Ladies...
Just a quick reminder... Tomorrow, May 11th is going to be our first monthly RS night.
We are going to have mini classes at the church.

Class 1: Marriage Class taught by Tiena Cowden 7pm (with topics picked by our Bishop)

Class 2: Wood Craft taught by Andrea Christensen 8pm,  You can do both if you wanted to go to the first class too. (But open the whole time) (call andrea for questions!)

Option 3: Canner will be available at your own leisure from 7-9pm!  Bring your food (sugar, wheat etc...) whatever you need to can...  Don't forget a can with a lid, and come seal them with the stake canner.  We will have that available only every 3rd month.

We are hoping to keep things simple!  All of us ladies have busy lives!  So the plan is, to meet on the 2nd Tuesday of every month for these mini classes.  If  you have ideas for classes or are willing to teach something, email Karen Brothersen at karenbrothersen@gmail.com
Hopefully the classes will cover a wide variety of interests and needs each month.

Hope to see you ALL there for one thing or another! (or all 3)

Trouble Posting?

I've heard from a couple of people that they are not able to post anything on here. If your name is in the "Who's Here" section, you should be able to post. Make sure you are signed in (upper right corner). Once you are signed in there should be a link in the upper right corner of the screen that says "New Post." Click on that to make a post.

If your name is listed to the right and you cannot post, please comment on here and let me know. (You can try to make a post and then cancel so it doesn't actually post. So give it a try to make sure you aren't having problems.)

If your name is not listed, but you would like to be able to post, please leave a comment with your e-mail address so I can send you an invitation to be an author on this blog.

Thanks everyone!

Book Club!

Hey, ladies!

I'm going to be starting a book club and wanted to start getting an idea of who would be interested so we could figure out what days are good and such. I LOVE to read and I know I'm not the only one, so if anyone is interested please leave a comment on here.

Please spread the word! I know a lot of ladies in the neighborhood don't look at the blog, so share the news with your friends. Since it isn't church sponsored, it can't be announced in church, so the only way to spread the word is this little blog and word of mouth. So please let all your neighbors and friends know so we don't miss anyone who might be interested.

To contact me either leave a comment, call me at 319-8535, or e-mail me at karl_shari@hotmail.com.

I'm excited to get started, so let's get the word out quickly!

D.I. Run

I am sorting through ALL of the toys in our house.
I was wondering if anyone is going to do a D. I. Run?
We could combine our loads.
Email or post a comment if you are.

What To Do With All That Wheat!

The Relief Society is having a cooking class on wheat.
Thursday, March 4th
7pm
At Rachel Smith's house
(next door to the Brothersen's)
Nursery will be provided.

Rachel said, "I will demo how to make things with basic food storage that kids will eat if they have to, a great wheat bread recipe, homemade wheat thins and graham crackers, and wheat gluten and bulgar recipes that helped me not feel so helpless over having wheat and not knowing what I would ever use it for in case of an emergency where I had to use it."

Any questions, call Karen 801-404-4716
