Canning Apples

Hey Ladies,
I am going to do some apple canning on Friday and Saturday. I was wondering if I could borrow Jar grabber (to pick up the hot jars), a Lid lifter (has a magnet to pick the lids out of the boiling water where you sterilize them), or an apple-peeler-slicer. As you can tell, I am a canning novice!
